Private Charter from Fort Lauderdale to Staniel Cay

A villa by the water, your favorite people and a boat ready for the afternoon. Staniel Cay is a place to settle into island time. Tell us what you’re looking forward to, and we’ll help bring the flight and arrival together, whether you’re staying on Staniel Cay or continuing by boat to a private island.

Planning detail 01

A small island worth slowing down for

Leave an afternoon open for a boat outing, a swim or lunch at Staniel Cay Yacht Club. If Thunderball Grotto is on your list, ask your local guide to plan the snorkeling around the tides and conditions. For a more secluded stay, Fowl Cay is a nearby private island reached by boat after landing at Staniel Cay.

Planning detail 02

Choose an aircraft that suits the island

Staniel Cay’s small airstrip makes aircraft choice especially important. A private turboprop may suit this trip well. We’ll compare the runway, passenger count and luggage needs together, then explain the aircraft and cabin options before you choose.

Planning detail 03

From your private terminal to the boat waiting for you

Board your private charter in Fort Lauderdale and settle in. When you land in Staniel Cay, your driver can meet you at the airstrip and take you to your villa or the dock for your boat transfer. We’ll coordinate the flight, driver and boat pickup times with your villa host or captain, so you can step off the aircraft knowing who’s meeting you and where you’re headed.

Planning detail 04

Plan the return around your last morning

Share your check-out time and the boat pickup arrangements before we plan the return. If you’re leaving a yacht, ask your captain where you’ll come ashore that morning. We can plan the flight around that detail, leaving you time for one last breakfast by the water.

Questions about Fort Lauderdale to Staniel Cay charters

Can we charter a flight to Staniel Cay from another state?

Yes. Your flight will stop in The Bahamas to clear customs before continuing to Staniel Cay (TYM). Depending on where you’re flying from, the aircraft that suits the longer leg may not be suited to Staniel Cay’s small airstrip. If needed, we’ll arrange a switch to a smaller aircraft at the customs stop and coordinate both legs for you.

Will we need a customs stop on the way to or from Staniel Cay?

Yes. We clear Bahamian customs and immigration at another airport, not at the Staniel Cay airstrip. For international charters, we’ll build in a stop on the way to and from Staniel Cay, typically at Nassau (NAS) or Exuma International (GGT). We’ll include that time when coordinating your villa or boat pickup.

How do we get from the airstrip to Fowl Cay or our yacht?

For a Fowl Cay villa stay, your charter lands at Staniel Cay (TYM). The Fowl Cay team meets you at the airstrip, helps with your luggage and takes you to the dock for the roughly seven-minute boat ride to the island. We’ll share your arrival details with the villa team and coordinate pickup around your flight, including the customs stop. If you’re joining a docked yacht, we’ll arrange a private car to meet you at the airstrip and take you to the marina where your yacht is berthed. If the yacht is anchored offshore, we’ll coordinate the car to the agreed dock and time the pickup with your captain’s tender. You’ll know who’s meeting you and where you’re headed before you leave.

Can we bring fishing rods or dive equipment?

Yes. What fits depends on your passenger count and the aircraft’s baggage capacity. We’ll help find the best option for your group and the equipment you’d like to bring.

What if our boat pickup time changes?

Let us know as soon as your captain or resort updates the plan. We’ll check what can be adjusted and keep the flight and boat contacts aligned, so you know where to go when you land.
