Medical transport by private charter

An unexpected illness or injury can turn a vacation upside down. You may need to get a loved one home, move them to a facility that can provide the care they need, or arrange a transfer between hospitals. Whether they’re in stable or critical condition, you already have enough on your mind. We’re experienced in arranging medical flights, and we’re here to take the pressure of coordinating the trip off your family.

Start with your loved one’s care team

The treating team and medical transport provider determine what level of care is needed for the transfer. If your loved one is cleared to fly on a standard charter, we can help arrange it. If they need a stretcher, monitoring, or care in flight, we’ll coordinate a specialized air ambulance. For an immediate emergency, call local emergency services.

From ground ambulance to care onboard

We’ll coordinate ground ambulances where needed at departure and arrival. When medical care is required in flight, we’ll work with the medical transport provider to confirm the appropriate staff are onboard and the aircraft is equipped for your loved one’s needs. We’ll coordinate the handoffs with the sending and receiving teams. The medical provider is responsible for patient acceptance and clinical care throughout transport.

Help with insurance paperwork

You pay Platinum Private Jets directly for the medical flight. Afterward, we’ll provide the paperwork you need to submit a reimbursement claim to your insurer. If you’re working with a case manager, let us know early so we can coordinate the paperwork with the transport provider. Your insurer determines whether the flight is covered and how much it will reimburse.

What to have ready when you call

Tell us where your loved one is now, where they need to go, the travel window, how many family members hope to accompany them, and who is coordinating care. Please don’t send medical records through the general quote form. We’ll help connect the care team with the transport provider so they can share the necessary information directly.
